Why do we feel so much stress?
Is your “to do” list stressful? Physical, mental and emotional stress sneaks into our lives from what we did or didn’t do, what we are supposed to do, what we are about to do, what we want to do but can’t, and what we don’t want to do but must.
I call it the tyranny of “to do”. It’s a pattern that isn’t in sync with the best in you. It’s like a plant trying to survive in the wrong ecosystem and environment. The plant becomes weak, prone to disease, and unable to reach its potential.
There is only one anti-dote, one cure, one healthy way forward. That is to do what matters most to the best in you moment to moment over and over again. When your life becomes a repetition of doing what matters most to the best in you … magic happens, miracles happen.
The “best in you” is a feeling.
Locate this feeling now.
Trust this feeling.
Don’t try to explain it or worry about whether or not it “makes sense”, it is a feeling not an idea.
When you take a leap choose to do what matters most to the best in you no matter how seemingly crazy, odd, adventurous, simple or safe it appears on the surface be ready to receive confirmation messages from the world around you. You are not alone. Everything is alive. Life naturally looks out for the best in each one of us. Take action. Trust.
As you build an awareness of your “best in me” feeling you will know when you are tuned into it and when it has slipped away. Making adjustments becomes easier.
When someone asks me for advice on how to make their dreams come true, how to fulfill their passions, how to find out where they belong in life, I remind them that even the best coaches, wisdom keepers, mentors, teachers and gurus in the world can’t answer that question for them. The answer, I have found, continues to be doing what matters most to the best of me moment to moment, over and over again. There is magic in that.
